Festival Manager
With 15 years of experience in cultural project management, from communication, public relations, to public and private funding and event production, across several European territories, Claudia Droc is a senior cultural project manager.
As a Sciences Po Paris (France) graduate and MBA alumni of Maastricht School of Management (The Netherlands), she has moved into cultural project management, spanning from activities at the Romanian Cultural Institute in Paris, European network of cinema theatres Europa Cinemas, and Transilvania International Film Festival.
For nearly 4 years she managed Europa Cinemas activities within the European Commission’s Creative Europe/MEDIA programme, as MEDIA coordinator and led an international team. At Transilvania Intl Film Fest (TIFF), she is the Head of International Relations, managing the festival’s international growth and visibility, as well as special international projects. In 2019 she produced, in a Romanian premiere, the French Oscar-winning director Michel Gondry’s interactive exhibition, The Home Movie Factory.
In 2021, she has coordinated the successful application of Cluj-Napoca as City of Film within UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network.
Since 2020, she is the manager of the TIFF Oradea regional film festival.
Since 2025, she is the co-founder of Cinema Atelier, creating cinematic experiences in unexpected places across Bucharest, Romania.
Since 2025, she took over as Making Waves festival manager from her predecessor, Oana Radu, with gratitude for her outstanding legacy.
